Following a medical referral I had a number of gym based personal training session with Naomi over some weeks. Within a short time I felt more confident in my ability to take on the challenge of the gym once again. Naomi is motivating and truly inspirational and very knowledgeable as a personal trainer. She worked with me at my pace yet pushed me to my limits when I needed it. I found her flexible in her approach and her availability and I would highly recommend Naomi
Naomi was really helpful when I decided that I needed a little extra help with my gym work. We worked out what my goals were, and she assisted in putting in place some exercises that would push me towards those goals, and worked with me, pushing me all the way. She really knows her stuff and I would have no hesitation in recommending Naomi to any of my friends and family
I started running back in 2015 and later joined a local village gym to compliment my pavement plodding. During the last 2 years I experienced setbacks from injury plus several eye surgery operations that stopped me running. This stop-start-stop-start interruption has meant a gradual lard accumulation around my middle, as I struggle to regain my former running self.
Naomi started at the gym a few months ago, a very friendly, people focused trainer, happy and chatty, even when she's putting you through a torturous set of exercises. At one point I was seriously considering a non-invasive cryolipolysis session to permanently destroy fat cells by freezing them, but instead went for PT sessions with Naomi. So far I have survived 6 sessions with her as we progress towards losing excess body fat and improving my overall fitness to benefit my running.
My half hour session is hard going. I struggle with most of the exercises because they often combine multiple aspects, or are typically well outside my comfort zone, or, outsdie my normal range of motion. This has thrown up some surprises like realising that I CAN do press ups even with zero upper body strength, but also challenges with exercise involving changes in pace or balancing in a certain posture whilst performing a task. It didn't take Naomi long to work out my limitations and adjust the exercises to be more relevant and 'do-able'. When I struggle doing an exercise, Naomi is quick to modify things to allow me to perform the exercise 'more easily'. Naomi pays great attention to the finer details, constantly monitoring posture and movement, and pinpointing the areas that need adjusting to perform the exercise properly.
This is all shock to my system, but so far with her mentoring we've noticed that my balance has improved, along with my eating habits, sleeping, and yes my belt does feel a lot looser.
Completed my first PT session with Naomi. We started the session with a review of my fitness and wellbeing. Naomi wanted to gauge what my fitness level is and what sort of exercises I had been doing. We also discussed diet and nutrition. She payed a lot of attention to these details as it seemed important to her to build up a picture of my fitness so she could then structure a good session. Naomi wanted to understand what I wanted to achieve from the initial session and what my future goals were. She set me various exercises gauging my strengths and weaknesses in each task. Naomi gave encouragement advise and better ways to carry out the exercises. She would push me to try harder throughout the session. However she had the experience to see where I began to struggle and would stop me change weights etc. I was pleased with the session I felt I had been worked hard and put through my passes. Naomi was professional in her approach and knew what she was talking about with the various exercises and equipment that I used she wanted to push me continue training on a regular basis.
I had been going to the gym for over a year, doing some exercises on my own and not progressing due to lack of motivation. I saw Naomi soon after she started at the gym and have had 4 sessions with her so far. The difference is great, I am being pushed harder than I had expected, but feel a lot better for it. I had wanted to concentrate on my legs, but we are also working on my core. I am now not only fitter, but also feel better generally. Thank you Naomi x
Naomi is a fantastic motivator and very knowledgeable. She will push you through your comfort barrier and out of the other side! Friendly and chatty, you won’t even feel like you are being pushed to work out! I would certainly recommend using Purple Lady PT if you want lasting results!
My trainer is a star; Naomi listened to my history which was recovering from cancer and surgery. She identified just the right balance between encouragement and pressure. She has worked with me for more than 2 years and has certainly helped hugely towards a marked improvement in my health and fitness. I was surprised I would be looking forward to each session but I truly felt each session left me with a overall feeling of a "Job well done”! She has enabled me to improve not just my physical health but mental health.

I have known Naomi for many years and her enthusiasm and understanding of the fitness industry is undiminished. She is a great motivator and trained me in the early days, helping me achieve my fitness goals. Later she helped me train my clients when I ran my own gym. The customers loved her energy and professionalism.
Naomi makes me work hard, which is what i need, but it is still fun. Just what I need.
